| PROVENANCE (Top) First acquired c. 1990s directly from the artist Arsen Roje by fine art photographer Scott Lindgren. I acquired all four pieces from Scott Lindgren in 2005. CONDITION (Top) Only displayed in a darkened hallway the artwork has never been exposed to sunlight. The colors are as bright as the day the pieces were completed. No issues with the artwork or the framing. ARTIST'S BIOGRAPHY (Top) Arsen Roje (1937-2007) was born in Croatia in 1937. He briefly attended the Academy of Fine Arts in Zagreb before moving to Paris in 1965. In 1968 Roje moved to New York before finally settling in Los Angeles in 1971 where he lived until his death in 2007. His most famous work was the image he created for use in the media materials for the 1970 Robert Altman motion picture "M*A*S*H". This iconic (poster) image shows Roje's own hand flashing a peace sign while wearing an army helmet and standing on high-heeled legs.
